About the Mebane Fire Department
The Mebane Fire Department is a combination paid/volunteer fire department serving citizens of Alamance and Orange Counties in Central North Carolina. Operating out of three stations, the Department covers a 35 square-mile district with a population of nearly 25,000. Each of the three stations is strategically located in areas that provide the best coverage and response to the citizens served. The Department consists of 51 members, including 26 volunteers and 25 career firefighters who cover the department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
